Summer Adventures

This summer has been full of fun fun times! We have been able to be with family so much! I would have pictures of everything I'm writing about but we have lost our camera charger and the camera is dead... Awesome I know!

With that said, we started out with my grandparent's 50th anniversary (my dad's parents) in Utah. It was so touching, fun and exciting to hear all their stories of when they were young, when they were dating, when they were going to college, when they started having kids, and so on. They have lived a full life and I think I am safe to say that our whole family admires their relationship and wants what they have in their marriage. WE LOVE THEM!

Then we ventured up to Idaho to the cabin. Jordan couldn't go because of school and work (I was dying without him there!), but next year we will be able to play on the lake and be up there together:) I enjoyed four days of laziness, eating, laughing, talking and talking, and eating some more (eating is what we do best:)! Island Park is so beautiful and it smells so clean and fresh there! Ha but really, it does. I think my favorite thing this year was when my dad took my mom, Angie, and me fishing. The fishing trip consisted of the classic things: Of course, going for a hike down a STEEP mountain (I really was on all fours) to get to the amazing hole, no fishing licenses, extremely small and bumpy roads, horse size mosquitos, Angie falling into the river to get her snag (Ha ha, there were no fish left in that hole), my dad hooking the worms for us and helping us kindly getting our snags out, and after all that I got car sick on the way home. I can still call it my favorite thing though because I love to go with Daddy down to the river. We have done that since we were little and I love to watch him try to teach me the same things that he has taught me for 12 years... how to reel in the line slowly but not too slow, to yank the pole to get the fish on, and the hardest one DO NOT TALK VERY LOUD OR IF YOU CAN HELP IT, DON'T TALK AT ALL:) He is so patient and I love being down there with him. I will always cherish those moments.  The cabin is one of my favorite places in the world. I love the memories that we have made there and I can't wait to make more with my little family!

Next, we came down from Idaho to my Grandma Kay and Grandpa Jim's house for the Furniss reunion. This one was pretty relaxed. We went up the canyon to Green Mountain to a park for a couple days and played v-ball, frisbee and so on. One of the days the guys in the family had a golf tournament where Jordan won " The closest to the Pin" award... yeah! Ha ha.. they had tons of fun. It was so enjoyable!

Our next little adventure will be with Jordan's family in California starting this Thursday! Can't wait! I'll update after:)

The new look

When we first got back to Utah I was here for a couple days by myself before Jordan came into town. I wanted to surprise him with a new look because I just felt " blah" all the time. Jordan's favorite thing is my long hair but I knew he would still love me! So what did I do... I CHOPPED my hair off! My hair was down to the lower part of my back and it was just my natural color of DARK brown. I was so bored! My friend Kimmy does my hair and I knew she would do it right. I cut off almost 10 inches and I felt like a new woman. The best part about the hair cut is that Jordan was in love with my new hair!

I do miss my long hair and I am gunna grow it out again but it was a great change!
