The Best Christmas Present Ever!

Angie, Dallin and Beau know how to make me cry. I have been saying for months if not years that I would love to get all dressed up and go to the symphony. It was more of just something to put on the list that may or may not happen. I didn't think I would get to go for a long time. All the siblings got tickets to the Utah Symphony for both Jordan and me. When Angie said she had to show me my present online I didn't expect that at all. We were on skype and she shared her screen and showed me the preview of the show. We were in front of my whole family and grandparents. I couldn't believe it, I cried like a baby. I was so touched that they thought of what would really matter to me. Thank you guys so much! That honestly was the best present ever!

Unfortunately I got a cold sore the day before that made my whole upper lip swell ( seriously, the waiter at the restaurant wouldn't look me in the face, HA!) so we didn't really take a lot of pictures!

Christmas and New Years 2010

This was technically Vance's second Christmas but last Christmas he was so little he didn't care about trucks, lights or stories. This Christmas was really fun. He still didn't really understand the whole unwrapping thing but we helped him. He loves this big dump truck. It is a riding truck. He also loves his blocks that he got from Grandma Tall( my mom) and a trike from Aunt Angie, Bill and Cade. We had a lot of fun up in Park City for Christmas!
My mom and my brothers were in town for Christmas. She stayed with my grandparents in Ogden so we travelled her way a few times while she was here. We wish that my family lived closer, it never gets easy to have them leave. We had a fun fun fun holiday season that is for sure:)

Beau got an African drum for Christmas and Vance LOVED to drum on it with Beau. So fun to watch him copy Beau's hands.

Grandpa doing the horsy. Always a workout for the leg:)

We spent New Year's up in Park City with the family. Vance didn't make it past 9 p.m. :)

Temple Square

One of the things we look forward to during Christmas is going to see the christmas lights at Temple Square. They are spectacular and the temple itself is breathtaking. We feel very grateful to live near this beautiful temple.

"White Christmas"

Jordan's parents took the whole family to the play " White Christmas". We loved it! I always envy those talented singers and dancers when I go to plays like that. We especially loved the tap dancing they did. This should be a tradition to go to a play every Christmas... we had so much fun!

Snow Day

You would think that we have lived in Utah enough to own a pair a snow boots, own snow pants and to have been up the American Fork Canyon, but we are not true Utahins (if fact, I don't even know how to spell that, ha ha!). We went up the AF canyon with a big bunch of us to go sledding. Vance loved it! He and Jordan went sledding down the dam wall. Vance is one tough boy!
-p.s.
Costco white trash bags over your shoes with duck tape wrapped around your ankle and ball of your foot WORKS as snow boots, ha ha! Thanks Uncle Brent! :)

December 22nd. Jordan's Birthday!

Jordan has turned 24 years old. He feels weird that he is actually getting older. He says that he doesn't feel himself getting older yet. On his birthday we decided that it would be fun to just have it be me and him. My mom and brothers came to town that day so we dropped Vance off in Ogden at Grandma and Grandpa's, where everyone was staying. We were able to go to out to a "really really nice dinner" to Jordan's all-time favorite restaurant, Carl's Jr. ( I absolutely hate it. Burgers and fake chicken just aren't my thing) but we went there and he loved every bite! Then we went to the movies. Jordan is obsessed with movies and knows the exact date when every movie comes out and what the ratings are for them. So we spent the rest of the night at the movie theater. We went to Tron and Harry Potter. He was so happy!

Happy Birthday Jordan! We love you!
